General administration

The equipment admins are able to edit the list of equipment family and subfamily. They can also edit the list of equipment maintenance type(s) and subtype(s). As seen below:

Note

If a family or subfamily are set as inactive, they will no longer be selectable.

Conditions and consequences of canceling/deleting an equipment

The equipment admins can administrate all the equipment. They can activate, deactivate, or delete it under some conditions. Equipment responsibles can perform these actions only in the equipment that they are addressed.

Deactivate an equipment has the following effects:

  • Equipment will not appear in selection list per default.

  • Equipment will not be selectable in a test.

  • Related maintenances will be still manageable.

  • If in a group, it will deactivate all the parts inside.

It will only be able to delete an equipment, if there is no elements linked to the test (maintenances, tests, documents, etc.).

Delete an equipment has the following effects:

  • Remove it from the database.

  • If in a group, can be deleted only if there is no parts inside.

Conditions and consequences of canceling/deleting maintenance

The equipment admins can administrate all the maintenances. They can cancel, uncancel, or delete it under some conditions. Equipment maitenance responsibles can perform these actions only in the maintenances that they are addressed.

Cancel an maintenance has the following effects:

  • Preserve the information that a maintenance was set but not performed.

  • It will no longer appears in due and upcoming maintenances.

It will only be able to delete an maintenance, if there is no elements linked (maintenances, tests, documents, etc.). Delete a maintenance has the following effect:

  • Remove it from the database, this action cannot be undone.
